Excellence Fund Promotion for Giving Tuesday
Your gift to the Anthropology Excellence Fund accommodates many functions because it offers flexibility in its use, allowing us to invest in a suite of valuable activities that benefit our students and faculty.
Some examples of how Excellence Funds have been used in the last year include:
- Round trip vehicle rental and fuel for graduate student transportation to regional annual conferences. This included assisting a group with travel to the Northwest Ecology, Evolution and Human Behavior Symposium held at Boise State University. With support, students that might be excluded due to travel cost considerations were able to focus on their presentations, networking and critical professional development skills.
- Hosting events directed toward career opportunities for anthropology undergraduate students. This included a panel discussion on how to apply to Graduate School, with food provided for undergraduate attendees, and an occupation development webinar presented by the Society for American Archaeology related to careers in museum collections and archaeology.
- Supporting visiting scholars as they come to Pullman and give research presentations.
From undergraduate and graduate student academic and career development activities to faculty research, the opportunities provided by your generosity, allow our program to focus on achieving our goals for success.
