Graduate student Sumanta Roy selected for 2026 Summer in-residence training program with the Smithsonian Institute in Washington D.C.

A tiny “beetle” was the guest of last Thursday’s ANTH 340 class taught by Rachel Horowitz.
The course, Maya, Aztec and Inca civilizations, explores these past cultures.

A memorial for Nancy McKee was held on Sunday, January 18th in the Museum of Anthropology. Nancy is fondly remembered as compassionate and caring, with a keen wit and great sense of humor. She will be greatly missed. Nancy’s obituary can be found here

Barry S. Hewlett, a medical anthropologist at WSU Vancouver, retired last spring after a long and varied career.
